Dysart State High School proudly offers grade 7-12 students the opportunity to learn a Woodwind, Brass or Percussion instrument as part of Education Queensland's Instrumental Music Program. Lessons are held during school time, free of charge. Students also participate in a weekly band rehearsal before or after school.
We offer tuition on the following instruments:

Please note: Only a limited number of instruments are available for hire. Please contact the school to confirm instrument availability.
Fees are charged only for instrument hire and participation. Please see the break down below.
Instrument Hire Fee: $100.00
Covers instrument maintenance and care and is only charged to students borrowing a school instrument.
Participation Fee: $20.00
Covers photocopying of sheet music, purchase of band music, consumables such as oil and grease. Percussion students only pay the participation fee.

Recruitment for 2021 is now OPEN!
We encourage you to consider applying to enrol in our 2021 Instrumental Music Program. Carefully read through our Instrumental Music Information Handbook then fill out our 2021 Instrumental Music Application Form and return to the school office by Tuesday, 3rd of November, 2020.
Students will be required to attend as Instrument Test to find the instrument that will best suit their skills, physical traits and capabilities. Please refer to the table below for dates and times.
