Dysart SHS is a co-educational public high school in Dysart, Central Queensland, Australia. It delivers education to students from years 7 through to 12. Officially opened on 24th September 1980, it was developed from a secondary department attached to Dysart State School in 1979. The school is committed to providing access to a quality education for young people in the Central Highland. It provides a dynamic approach to education with the focus on maximising opportunities for our students to explore 'what's possible' and then providing them with the skills to reach their goals.
We have developed strong, supportive relationships with our students, parents and the wider Dysart community and we value the contributions that these groups make to our school. Our P&C is extremely active and supportive; enhancing many of the student opportunities that are on offer. We have a vibrant and rich partnership with the mining industry, and BMA particularly. This partnership provides many additional experiences and opportunities for our students to support their career aspirations.
